Japanese students at my high school have to learn 20 vocabulary words per week, so I made a vocabulary learning program I hope to eventually offer students in various formats. The program reads a list of English words and their Japanese translations from a text file, and presents the user with a learning menu, which currently includes the word game specified in the standard project as well as a simple word card activity. I tried to introduce variation in the program's coaching function which praises the user for correct answers and gently encourages the user to focus on target words when the user's answer is incorrect.
