MedChat - A Virtual Medical Diagnostician
MedChat ask patient questions to populate their symptoms and use the information provided to detect probable cases of Malaria, COVID19, Influenza, Common Cold and Allergies. It has a database where (simple dictionary) where patient information are stored and patients can only access the program's main diagnostic feature if they are listed to avoid abuse (this feature can be disbaled if required). MedChat is useful in that it reduces the potential risk of infection to our front line workers in the fight against COVID19 by ensuring potential positive cases follow hospital laid down protocol while allowing Doctors minimise patient contact time.
