The code is a program which takes a data file from the CDC website* and extracts the number of deaths by jurisdiction in the USA, given the Covid-19 effect, to compare any large difference in the death rate between 2019 and 2020.
The user can also enter a specific jurisdiction and the output would give the total absolute number of deaths through 19th week in the years 2019 and 2020.
The second part of the program lists all the jurisdictions change in death rate from 2019 to 2020.
*The file contains data from each jurisdiction in the USA [mainly all 50 states, but also includes the District of Columbia and New York City]. The data file has the weekly number of deaths, in the years 2019 and 2020 (through week 19).
